Having really strange CTD issues when riding a horse.

My little cousin also had this issue playing skyrim on their PC for a month. I think it started when she started using FNIS but just ignored
the problem by not using the horses. After copying some mods and meshes from a flash drive I too am having the exact same problem. I already had
to do 4 resets of my skyrim I have no patience with a crash prone game so I want to smash this problem and still maintain my modded game.

So its either fix it or uninstall this crap and return to Oblivion.

I have been hitting at this issue for 2 weeks now and I cannot figure out how to solve it.

For some reason every time I walk off a ledge or rock while on horse back my skyrim instantly crashes to the desktop. When riding I have to keep the animals feet planted on the ground and be cautious not to ride over bumps and small rocks. Jumping is fine, it only happens when falling.

I disabled all mods, I've deleted all folders associated with horses, tried multiple skeleton files, and I even let that steam program apply the last update to my game just in case I was missing something.

If anyone can point me to the right direction and give a me a clue on what the hell can cause this problem I would appreciate it.

the problem should be here:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\skyrim\Data\meshes\actors\character\animations

search for anything related to horses or delete all the files and try again. (make backup copies just in case)
