Updating (Please be kind) - Base TS4 Game

I would like to update to the latest WW.

 

• Have not updated TS4 in ~3 years
• Have not updated WW in ~3 years
• I have WW_animations and Skins / Clothes / Hairs in Mods folder
• I have MC command center in game (but do not explicitly see a folder of this in Mods directory)

 

I rejected all updates out of fear WW would stop working (scarred from the Toddlers update). Game works great as is, but I'm 3 years behind on updates and seen cool things on youtube.

 

TL;DR:

- I understand that I need to delete all contents inside the /WickedWhimsMod folder. Replace them with the newly downloaded ones

- What about WW_animations and skins? Should I assume these are out of date and delete or should they be fine as is?

- What do I do about MC Command? I was actually thinking this was part of WW

For future readers (my resolution):

 

1. Delete WickedWhimsMod folder and MCCommand folder
2. Delete all animations related to WW (its possible this is not required but I preferred the safe route)
3. Kept all "custom mods" (clothing, skins, hairstyles, accessories). I did not need to touch or delete these
4. Update The Sims 4 (I have the base game)
5. Load the game (go into a household), verify the game works correctly (scripts will be disabled so custom mods clothes etc, will not show up)
6. Enable Scripts and Mods from the Settings menu, then restart the game and verify your custom items work
7. Download latest WickedWhimsMod and MCCommand, place them separately in the Mod folder
8. Load the game, verify it works correctly
9. Re-download / install some animations. I'm just going to install all new ones

I got a "some items were removed" alert, upon loading into a household. I just ignored it, seems to work fine for me
