Brand new, need help, offering cash

I'm brand new to this whole modding thing, and was looking forward to figuring it out myself, but after over 8 hours, 15+ youtube videos, and multilple step by step instructions, I can't figure it out. I've tried manual downloads and through vortex, but I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong.

Basically, if someone could walk me through the process, I'd venmo you $30

A little more information about it,

when i run/install through vortex, the game won't even load, but when I try installing manually I can't access the SEXLAB menu, even though i get a game notification stating it's been installed

I would recommend doing a fresh install of everything, I mean the whole nine yards. Do a fresh install of Vortex and Skyrim. Next, install Skyrim Script Extender. To make sure script extender is installed and working, do the following:
1. Boot up Skyrim Script Extender through Vortex, there is a little icon just for it. Make sure you installed SKSE properly.
2. Open up the console in Skyrim by typing the " ~ " key on your keyboard

3. Type into the console " getSKSEversion "

4. If it gives the SKSE version, your SKSE is installed properly.

Manual downloads are sometimes good but in general, I feel it is better to have a mod manager like Vortex to do all the work for you.

Oh and dont forget FNIS for animations. That and SKSE are very important to install properly and affect a number of mods. and if you havent already double check the sexlab dependencies, and their dependencies and so on. Can be tedious but once you get on a roll you will be fine, lots of mods rely on other ones. When adding mods do it in small lots too. it can be hard to find which mods are conflicting sometimes.

Good luck

Yeah, SKSE version 2.0.17, so that's up to date,

The mod configuration on Skyrim SE is SkyUI, correct?

I have that installed, but when I try to use LOOT, it is the only mod that doesn't have a check mark by it, also, it doesn't seem to let me change the load order for it, it always loads last?

Ok, after installing everything else manually, I activated SkyUI in Vortex, so now it show up in the right place in LOOT, time to see if this works
