usernametaken Posted February 14, 2013 Posted February 14, 2013 I had a save that would ctd when I traveled to a specific place, so I uninstalled skyrim and installed it back and made a new game. Now I was curious and tried loading my old save and it works perfectly now so it was some mod that was conflicting with it although I tried many things to pin point it before. So I installed most of the same mods I had before except now I've also installed the enhanced character edit mod. Now I wanted to change my characters appearance a bit (showracemenu), however it won't let me do it like before. For example if I change the skin color it will change the bodies skin color but not the head, or if I want to remove the warpaint it won't let me do that either. Also use a character preset and edit my character a bit off of that, and now I can't select any preset, it's as though there is no preset there, not even the default ones. Although on a new save I can select presets. So I disabled enhanced character edit however it's still the same. Any way of me being able to change the appearance on an existing save?
uk33 Posted February 14, 2013 Posted February 14, 2013 Is your character a vampire? I know once you become one it disables a few of the options in showracemenu, you also can't change the skin colour as a vampire, as only the body lightens/ darkens. Either that or I am having the same bug and just not realised it lol

Also I just tried something different, I changed the race and then changed it back to a nord and it seems to work now but it resets it to preset 1 which kind of sucks but I guess that works out. Anyone else know another workaround to this for future references?
