Having problems with Blender 2.49

Sometime yesterday, i tried yet again to figure out how to use blender so i can edit a piece of armor to work with CBBE. But i keep running into problems, i've looked at all kinds of guides, but i dont know which one has the information i need. Is there any pros with Blender who has skype? I'm looking for someone to give me advice while trying to convert this armor to CBBE.

 

I've managed to import my armor and body into blender, but having problems figuring out how to cut the armor so i can only move half of it.

Hello, I know its been some time since you have posted this. But I have just recently learned how to work with skyrim meshes (mostly just clothing). If you need help I might be of assistance.
