Help Sought With Systemic Errors In Current Build

Something is amiss in my build. Mods, several of them, keep losing functionality. Atomguard powers (and vulnerabilities) fail one by one, over time. Just Business's mark hotkey stops working. (The sights still work, for now at least). AAF loses the hotkey and eventually gets stuck at "gathering" (although this is usually fixed by quitting and reloading)

 

In general, random things just seem to keep breaking and I can't think what would do that.

Tricky. I'm using Wrye Bash at the moment and some of the version info has been lost.

Oh, one more symptom: after a while my character becomes invulnerable to all damage for some reason.

Apparently I'm a ghost. Player.setisghost 0 fixes the problem.

And two years later, exact same problem, exact same solution. Googled for a fix and found my own post.

 

Still not sure what's causing it, but it might be an interrupted AAF scene. I had someone start talking to me when a scene was loading, and I ended up in an odd state where I couldn't change perspective and a few other things. Fixed that by starting a second AAF scene and letting it end normally, but that's about when the ghost symptoms started.

 

Of course, for quite a time I thought I was just being lucky in combat...

I had that problem for a while, it is really annoying (and it is really painful when you are bugtesting and it occurs)

regardless, I decided to add a command in FPE/WDF? to toggle it on and off

I get the invulnerability bug from time to time as well and it's really annoying. I just save and reload and it corrects itself.

 

EDIT: I use an ssd so normally restart the game below the load. Habit I picked up from Skyrim as reloads don't update some globals/variables correctly (like if you buy something reload a previous save and the gold is missing). Not checked if the same happens in FO4

I'll have to check that out. I should really review MCM changes after a mod upgrades, but there's tendency to skim thinking "I've seen all that..."

well the upcoming update (I am going to release tomorrow has changed quite a bit of it)

I would like to make something to show the ghost effect but I know very little about it.

 

I usually find out I am in Ghost whenever I use a beacon and it does absolutely nothing. (and no, the beacons do not cause the ghost effect)

Actor.IsGhost and Actor.SetGhost are the papyrus functions. According to the wiki

 

"Ghosted actors do not register OnHit events and are unaffected by Weapon, Spell, Explosion, Ingredient, Potion, or Enchantment."

 

The original intent was for literal ghosts which would do their thing and be immune to anything the player did to them. I'd assumed AAF used it to stop you getting killed during sex, but I confess I've not looked to find out.
