Am I missing something?

While trying to view BSA files in notepad++ (just to compare how others did stuff)

I get this text (and at times some completely screwy characters)

What is this? and follow up...what sort of plugin (for note++) (if this is something which can be translated) (or is notepad++ not really good
to use for scripting for skyrim)  I've used something similar to notepad++ (in a professional set up...) however this boggles me.

Bsa's are compressed files, not scripts you can open a Bsa file with programs such as  Bsa Unpacker
