owi2000 Posted February 9, 2013 Posted February 9, 2013 Hey everyone I don't know if this has been suggested before and shot down, but I'd like to request from someone with modding skills (the CK hates me) make a mod that would allow a person to sacrifice their armor at a smelter and get some ingots back for it. Would that be hard to do? I know people can add recipes to the forge, so why not the smelter too? I just hate selling my old armor for a pittance when I could instead be re-using the material to level my smithing. I think it'd be a good idea, and I haven't seen anything like that on the Nexus, so what do you guys think?

manam Posted February 9, 2013 Posted February 9, 2013 Not completely related, but http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/27644 adds a lot of weapons, many of which can be smelted back down (though for slightly less than the items cost). If you add them to leveled loot lists, you could melt down a lot of the loot you might find for resources over selling it. There are also some other crafting mods that allow things like melting gold into ingots, or ingots into gold, but I'm not sure if you're as curious for things like that.
