beesin Posted March 6, 2020 Posted March 6, 2020 Hi guys! I'm starting a new playthrough and am hoping you can help me figure out how to implement a unique body for the player character. I managed it in Fallout 4 (it was still a headache) but never managed it in Skyrim SE. I'm planning on adding HDT SMP (to cbbe, X32, etc) this time around, and I'm curious if anyone here knows an easy (hopefully?) reliable way to implement a unique body with the mods I mentioned. There have been a couple mods on Nexus advertising the feature, but they didn't seem widely used at all, and I don't know if they work well with the skeleton or physics. Thanks a bunch in advance, friends
Vozkal Posted March 7, 2020 Posted March 7, 2020 Make your player character a unique race. Find a mod for Skyrim SE that adds a playable race that has its own folder structure so that you can place your unique body mesh/skeleton, textures, etc. in those folders and those files should only apply to your character; NPCs will use the default body meshes/textures. I don't play Skyrim SE so this is based off Skyrim LE and assuming things work in a similar way. You will have better luck with answers if you post in the Skyrim SE part of Loverslab. Some mods that add a playable race with custom textures/meshes that you can swap with your own (I think): https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/17582 https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/16067 Mod that makes changes to vanilla races but does not allow you to add custom textures/meshes separate from NPCS (example of what you don't want): https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/1315
