gamertech100 Posted February 8, 2013 Posted February 8, 2013 Ok... I didn't have this issue for months... and suddenly every npc has a neck seam issue. I remember click on textblend light, and it said "fixed neck seams" but it hasn't done that it seems to have broken them. For example the girls of Skyrim were fine, but now even if I uninstall and reinstall the mod, the neck seams are still off?? Not sure what's happened, and having trouble fixing this issue. Any help Thanks.
Dude500X Posted February 8, 2013 Posted February 8, 2013 screenshots of seams please. tex blend light i think only works with CBBE I know UNP has a tex blender on the nexus, has instructions on it too. Also I know realistic lighting mods have seam issues, not huge ones but I'm getting seams on my vanilla textures using it.

Actually I think that's what it is... in some lighting it's fine, but I have realistic lighting installed and I think that's causing it. I find the UNP texture blender hard to use... I'm sure it's quite simple... a short video from the creator would have been a good idea rather than having reems of text that I think are hard to follow.
FastestDogInTheDistrict Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 "Enhanced Lighting and FX" can also be pesky like this in certain locations. If it helps, the TexBlend version that UNP Texture Blender is talking about is basically identical to the standalone version from Caliente - it's the one I use, and its operation is the same. Re-installing the follower/race mod you're using won't fix the problem (unless it's using its own skin textures - no idea, I don't use it). TexBlend changes the skin textures you're using, so if they were improperly blended they would need to be re-installed & re-blended correctly.
Dude500X Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 yeah that likely will be causing it. alot of skin mods mention enb issues but not so much bout realistic lighting mods. do you find it is nord women who get it the worst? yeah that likely will be causing it. alot of skin mods mention enb issues but not so much bout realistic lighting mods. do you find it is nord women who get it the worst?

A) could be the body mesh , if you recently updated mesh that released by same author then it's the texture could be the whole file structure that conflict with other texture mods most of time neck seam will happend when new armor mesh is installed it's wierd idk why Re sort all the mods back use this trick 1. load up boss and re-sort it 2. boot up steam if you had steam subcribe mods it will update along with the file structure 4. launch skyrim it should fix the seam issue
gamertech100 Posted February 11, 2013 Author Posted February 11, 2013 Thanks for your help, but I've given up on it, nothing seems to work, so I'm reinstalling the whole thing. Since using the creation kit I've just encountered one problem after another.

Yes... The problem was mainly only with the nord women.

I've reinstalled everything from scratch which was a pain, but at least it's resolved the problems with the nord women.... I think it was due to a body replacer that was causing the issue. I couldn't save lydia tho' no matter what I did she had a dark brown face and lighter colored body even on reinstallation. :/ Very strange... I've disabled her from the game. Poor Lydia. lol
gamertech100 Posted February 12, 2013 Author Posted February 12, 2013 Lydia's ok now... last few days, i've had constant problems with mods. Finally everythings back to normal. Those neck seams are hard to ignore once you notice them.

Yes, that was the issue with that. I'm gonna leave mods alone for awhile and just play the game, I've been making NPC's changing textures, all sorts of things and it's easy to get lost with it all.... everything seems fine now at last.

When you make NPC's its important to make sure they have Face Gen Data or they get discoloured heads. Select the NPC you have created in creation kit (or the NPC that you are having problems with) and press cntl + F4 to generate the face data. You have to scroll through the actor list manually to find them rather than using the search box or it doesn't work.
gamertech100 Posted February 14, 2013 Author Posted February 14, 2013 "You have to scroll through the actor list manually to find them rather than using the search box or it doesn't work" ........ another bug that's driven me crazy, no wonder I was having problems with control F4. Thanks.
