gamertech100 Posted February 7, 2013 Posted February 7, 2013 Hi.... I have just started using the creation kit as a means to create beautiful NPC characters. There was a tutorial on this which was hard to follow... I have created the charcter I want to use as an NPC using the race menu, how do I then put an exact copy of the charcter into the creation kit. I used the ashen race as the template.... I know how to import the face, onto another charcter in the game... but I want to keep everything the same from the race menu... hair, eye's and body.... could anyone help or give me some tips? Thank You.
anubis Posted February 7, 2013 Posted February 7, 2013 well, as far that i know when you create an .npc from your own character by doing it with console command (forgot what exactly what the command line was) than import the .npc into your NPC, it will remember what hair, facial, eyes and stuff. do it couple of times and it always work on my end. Buf if you dont, guess you need to manually find each of it, and make sure you load the neccesary plugin(s) if some parts are coming from different plugin. i'm using Tera Hair and Beautiful Eyes with my own plugin for unique race, since i created .npc for my character face with using one of Tera hair and beautiful eyes.

Thank You.... Yes... I saved the character face using the console command SPF "name" In the creation kit when I select Apachi hair or the ashen race to load into it, it often says "multipule master files loaded... aporting" When you have created a face, I take it you are then loading in the hair and eye mods.... Should I load skyrim and the update master files first, and then load the eye's and hair mods after that.... also what body do you use in the creation kit for your character? Thanks. Oh... Also any idea why I don't have the Apachi hair.esp I only have the esm.
anubis Posted February 7, 2013 Posted February 7, 2013 add "bAllowMultipleMasterLoads=1" under [General] in SkyrimEditor.ini and no, you dont need to load Skyrim.esm and update.esm (cause they will automaticly loaded too) all you need is the neccesary plugin(s). about what body i take that you ask about what body replacer that i use which is UNP and i set my custom race with default texture. As i remember Ashen race is using different body texture, so you might want to set or follow the preset(s) in Character Gen Parts section that was added from Ashen race.
gamertech100 Posted February 7, 2013 Author Posted February 7, 2013 Oh.... I've checked the Apachi hair nexus and it say's if you preview head.. the hair deson't show it only shows on full... Ugh... all these little bugs are taking days to get around before I've created anything. Frustrating.

I think I'm starting to understand it now.

I have my character in game with everything just the way I created it from the race menu.... only thing left to do is color match the head to the body because their different. Do I need to load the ashen race into the creation kit and use the body from that? Is this done in Character gen parts?
anubis Posted February 7, 2013 Posted February 7, 2013 dang, forgot to mention the most important part.....sorry about that after you done editing your NPC, in actor list tab highlight the ID of the NPC that you just edited, and press CTRL + F4, there will be a pop up, just click yes later it will followed with a confirmation. then make sure you save the the plugin again.
