Modding cloak spells aoe [probably self-solved]

Hello,

 

I'm trying to boost the fire, ice, lightning, poison and light cloak spells' AOE using TESVedit. I kinda want this because I'm using Apocalypse's Ocato's Recital to auto-cast it when entering combat.

Cloaks come in two steps : the FX (which i don't care about) and the actual damage AOE.

 

The damage AOE has duration and magnitude set up, but the "area" parameter is left at 0, meaning it must be set somewhere to only affect "melee range" as per the descrption... The associated magical effect "FirecloakFFSelf" is tagged as "no area".

 

Have I missed something obvious?

 

My current idea to tackle this is :

-remove the "no area" flag on the magic effect "FireCloakFFSelf "Flame Cloak" [MGEF:0003AE9E]"

-specify the desired AOE in the spell parameters "flameCloak [SPELL:0003AE9F]"

However it leaves out the discrepancy between the spells' magnitude (10) and the actual damage spell applied on targets, which has a magnitude of 8 (flamecloakdmg [spell:0002B385]

 

Would that work?

EDIT : This was a bit counter-intuitive, but also simpler than i thought... looks like the spell magnitude is the area, hence why dual casting it boosts the AOE and USKP patch removes the "power boosts magnitude" and replaces it with "boosts duration" to fix that. Welp.
