{HELP}Player Only Bodyslide?

So I have been looking for a way have One BodySlide preset on the NPC and a different one on the PC. I have looked at unique Character but I was unable to figure it out, the file paths did not match, so I'm asking if anyone has a guide for someone who is totally oblivious (like me) or if there is a different way I'm just not seeing. I'm using CBBE 3BBB (which has a native installer patch for Unique Character ) and it requirements. Any help would be appreciated.

For Unique Character on Nexus you just have to put your personal batch bodyslide generation and preferred textures into the mod's folders, the body itself gets built into those. I was able to just set my bodyslide buildpath into the mod's files and then build separate bodyslide to overwrite, make a new mod from that and then I moved Unique Character below it to make sure they didn't get overwritten. It worked that way for me and I use 3BBB also. Hope this helps you!

 

If it doesn't, send me the bodyslide preset file you are using for your character in PM, and I'll build the file for you and send it back so you can just enable in MO2 or whatever mod organizer you use. ^-^

Edit 2: I realized after posting this that you were confused about the file paths so my earlier advice likely won't help you... if you don't know how to batch build specific files in bodyslide to the folder you need to build to, let me know and I'll be more detailed. ?

I dont think its that (But i know very little in this case), when i find the mesh files they are in just all lose in what appear to be 4 files called character assets, character assets female and character, character female (the last 2 both with a file called defaultmale.hkx and defaultfemale.hkx respectively) but when i look into the unique charter folder i get this:

Which is different then the other files which look like:

So i dont know where to put the files (and to be perfectly honest im only 80% sure which files are even relvent)

To make this easier on yourself, rather than focusing on the file pathing, use the actual file names within the folders located in Unique Character as your guide.

 

If you have your Bodyslide files already built in a separate location (which from your second screenshot it looks like you have built them to your main Skyrim SE directory Data folder), open that folder in one window. Once you have that open, open the Unique Character folder in a separate window and keep them side by side. Go into each folder within Data/Meshes/Actors/Character/Unique/ and replace the Bethesda Art Files (femalebody_0.nif, femalebody_1.nif, etc.) there with the files of the exact same name and type which you will find somewhere within those files you have outlined in blue on your second screenshot.

If there are extra files for your body (like the vaginaref_0.nif) move those files over also into the Data/Meshes/Actors/Character/Unique/Female folder from Data/Meshes/Actors/Character/Character Assets. You only need to copy over .nif files, the .tri files can stay where they are, though I don't think it will hurt anything if you move those too. You shouldn't need to worry about replacing anything within the Head folders in Unique Character unless you are using a separate head mesh from vanilla. 

 

For textures, it's the same exact process. Find where your personal textures of choice are located, then copy the files from there into the Unique Character texture files. 

 

 

My offer from earlier is still on the table if you find that you are still having trouble getting it to work after this. I'm happy to take your Bodyslide preset and textures of choice and build the Unique Character file for you so you can just install it through Vortex and let it overwrite the existing files. ?

 

P.S. As a separate point, I do recommend that eventually you make the switch from Vortex to Mod Organizer 2, as it makes installation and removal of mods much simpler and safer because it doesn't touch anything within your main Skyrim SE directory and keeps all the file paths clear, separated and easy to access. Just a suggestion!

Hmmm, well I got the textures for the face to take (kept the vanilla just to test) but nothing else, think im gonna bin this until my next play through (which is when I plan to to switch to MO2) but i think i have a good enough idea to get it to work on a clean skyrim install (or i will be back in a month/24 hours) so thanks for the help.
