lolcopterz123 Posted December 23, 2019 Posted December 23, 2019 Hello, I've been told that it was possible to swap character voices, but I couldn't find any video or posts regarding this. Does anyone know how to do this?

Maybe you mean this video? https://www.bilibili.com/video/av45409967 Here is more likely an exchange of bodies.

Yea that seems to just be a body swap. I'm essentially looking for if the Bass in that video could have Marie's voice rather than his own.

However, if we replace the bodies and animation, then only sound files and an inscription with a name will remain from the original character. And we can say that we have swap audio files.

piffDisaster Posted December 24, 2019 Posted December 24, 2019 Currently you can use rdbtool to extract the sound archives, which have filetype SRSA. If you want Marie Rose's voice lines for instance, you would extract the file CHA_MAR.srsa. I think these are found in the RRPreview files, but I might be wrong, you might have to look through a few of the bins but that's what you're looking for. Once you've extracted this, you can extract the sounds from the archive by dragging and dropping into the SRSxtool. Both of these tools can be found here: Unfortunately, this is where progress stops. Currently nobody has developed a tool for re-packing sound files yet, and I don't know if it's high on the priorities list of any modders who are capable of doing something like that (certainly not me). Assuming we had a way to do that, I think you could drop them into the appropriate redelbe folder and the sounds would swap just like that, but until we have a way to re-zip those srsa files, we can't mod sounds. I'd personally be willing to tip some money to anyone who takes the time to do this, as I'd love to replace the shitty sound effects with stuff from a different fighting game. Fyi, most of the basic sound effects are in the DOWN, HIT, SWISH, and FOOTSTEP srsa files.
