Animation doesn't start

I haven't played FONV for a couple years and I just started a new game. Sexout worked the first time I tried it. Then after, it crashes as the animation starts. The two characters stare and each other, and the sound track is playing like they are doing something. It doesn't freeze, I can back out by reloading the last save.  

 

I deactivated and reloaded all my Sexout files. I did not do a fresh install of everything because it took a long time to get it working just right. Everything worked just right the last time I played including Sexout. 

 

I'm maxing out a 2013 laptop with an early Intel Dual Processor 2.4 MHZ or thereabout.  8 MB RAM. Video is an on-board IBM chip. I can't run higher than DirectX 9, so New Vegas is about as good as it gets. 

 

If I was playing Skyrim, I'd run FINIS but I can't find it for NV. (Or else there's something else I used before and forgot what.)

Additional Notes: The male player stripped to his underwear with the Breeze Body. Roberts Male 3 lost the underwear but is limp.  Female character does not strip.

If you did, then maybe we could see if it's a mod causing issues with animations.

You could do in 2 ways

- untick half of your mods, try in game, untick another half, try in game, untick another half etc. until you narrow down which mod causes an issue, if any.

- Install small animator and place the esp at the very last position of the load order. When you start the game, ignore any advise from the mod, or the mcm, everything, you just need to have it active in the last position of the load order. At that point, you can try to invoke an animation of Sexout and see if it works or if the actors still stand without being animated. After this test, you can remove Small Animator since we'll know if it's animation related or not.

I already had the NVSE file loaded. I tried small animator with no change. I'll experiment with deactivating the mods until I isolate a conflict.

Just to be twice sure: the link I provided you is not NVSE, it's NVSE EXTENDER, which is a plugin for NVSE and it's necessary for Sexout and its mods.

I downloaded it and tried to install it. It said Fomod already existed. Besides Sexout worked with my exact setup for a complete run-through of the game. I just restarted from a save at Doc Miller's place with the set-up done. It worked once then worked no more.

Okay, I fixed it. I did not get any conflicts with my mods. So, what I did is uninstalled Sexout and saved, then reinstalled it. Whatever was breaking it disappeared.
