Trying to change enchants and weights of armors

Okay so at the moment what I'm trying to do is get the enchants and weight changes from the jsawyer.esp to work with the pregnant versions of vanilla armors. I've been mucking about in fnvedit a bit but I'm not finding a way to get the armors to line up so I could drag and drop the records I want into my mergedpatch to affect the pregnancy versions. I'm guessing at this point it means I would have to fire up the geck to try and get what I want?

If yes, could someone suggest a tutorial (peferred written, but youtube will do if it has to).

In FNVEdit...

If the id's aren't the same, you can't drag and drop. What you'll have to do is copy as override into a blank esp enough armor records with the data you want to match with the armor you're editing. Load this esp after the armors you want to change. Set this esp to have as a master the esp/esm you want to change. Alter the formid's in the new esp to match the armors you want to change. Close and save.

Re-open FNVEdit. You should now be able to drag and drop from the new esp to the esp/esm you want to change. Once you're done, delete the new esp you made with the copies as it won't be necessary any longer as the armor will have the data from the copies.

Ok so tested this out with the merc charmer outfits and it seems to be working...lots of data entry grunt work though but what can ya do. Right now I'm saving it into a patch esp beccause I don't want to alter records in the scr esm permanently;). Would the patch work properly with any load arder or if I change things do I have to alter the form ids again?

It should work in any order as long as the records contain the same last 6 id digits and the master entry is still in the header. Changing the load order will still result in the overrides pointing at the esm record and not becoming a new record.
