AlphaShepard Posted November 18, 2019 Posted November 18, 2019 Hello! I'm looking to start playing around with animation for WW. I've taken animation courses in the past, and have been following this tutorial for using blender specifically, but one thing I'm missing is how to get the rigs for objects you want to incorporate in your scene, like a bed or couch. (Unless that comes up later in the tutorial, but I would imagine you would need to set up your actors in reference to them when animating your scene?) Unless I'm missing something completely obvious.
Michse222 Posted November 19, 2019 Posted November 19, 2019 For a lot of items its pretty easy: 1. open S4 studio 2. choose object, create 3D mesh 3. choose your desired object 4. choose a name for the package 5. once you see the object in S4 studio: on the right side there is a tab "meshes" - select it 6. LOD(0) high should be selected, now click export mesh 7. save the .blend file 8. in blender: open your animation rig and append the rig and mesh files 9. click on the "rig" in the outliner 10. change from object mode to pose mode 11. your good to go 12. at last save your animation and generate an separate clip for it (just like another actor) 13. your XML file has a few "general" objects which are precoded - such als bed, sofa, loveseat... If you chose another object, you have to find out its object ID and write that one in your XML file Happy animating
