Mithril Posted November 13, 2019 Posted November 13, 2019 Right, so, as Warhorse studios is releasing these, I am beginning to think that, rather then clogging up the Kingdom Come threads in other sub-boards, that I might just compile these here as they come. The official Kingdom Come mod tools can be found here: https://www.nexusmods.com/kingdomcomedeliverance/mods/864?tab=description Now, before starting, it is perhaps better if one knows how to set things up. And as such, here is a tutorial setting up the basic tools before getting on the meaty part of the official tool set by one Mr. The Rich: And the official tutorials for the mod tools themselves are here: I'll post more as they come.
Mithril Posted November 18, 2019 Author Posted November 18, 2019 A little bit late, but here you go: Tutorial 3
TheCaptn Posted November 19, 2019 Posted November 19, 2019 I've had a scan through the tutorial videos but I'm still not clear on whether we can add new animations now or not? That's always the prerequisite for any kind of sexual modding, and a week after the tools were released we honestly don't seem any closer to that... I was kinda hoping to see some quick dance animation conversions as a proof-of-concept, because they tend to be the first wave, but it's all quiet so far.

It has plugins for both 3DS Max and Maya and, apparently, Warhorse Studios personally used MotionBuilder. I think we just have to wait until the tutorials get to that part.
Mithril Posted November 30, 2019 Author Posted November 30, 2019 New tutorial which I imagine will be useful once they get around out telling us how to animate things.

I'm becoming less and less enthusiastic... I mean it's not like animators need to wait for these tutorials to show them how to animate. The toolset was released a month ago which is more than enough time for animators to poke around in it and figure out some basic tasks, whether that's altering existing animations, extracting them to 3rd party software, throwing in a sexy dance or even just experimenting with character alignment. The fact that we're not seeing anything remotely like that suggests to me that it's simply not a part of the toolset.

Still, I am holding out hope since they are still releasing these videos.
Mithril Posted January 29, 2020 Author Posted January 29, 2020 Another video incoming and still no animation instructions but hope never dies as they say.
Mithril Posted January 30, 2020 Author Posted January 30, 2020 Huh This is in Kingdomcome's page about modding. The image shows options and ways the mod tool can use animation. 1
Mithril Posted February 7, 2020 Author Posted February 7, 2020 Right, so, after asking around I finally got an answer. To quote someone familiar with what was done in the game: Quote It should be possible. Please refer to CryEngine documentation because KCD took the CE animation system as is with no changes to it whatsoever. Animation skeletons for the game characters are provided in the modding package. Just create your own animations and include them in the animation assets package. So this: In effect also teaches how to mod animations into the game.
Mithril Posted February 15, 2020 Author Posted February 15, 2020 I am a dunce. Ok, for those of you who wanted an animation tutorial straight from these guys? IT'S IN HERE!. Sort of. At 36:03, the Warhorse Studios dev goes over how items interact with animations and then explains some of the rudementaries of the animation in the tool set: It, however, still doesn't teach how to incorporate animations into the thing. 1
Haraldh Posted August 27, 2022 Posted August 27, 2022 I also took interest in this since the game uses cryengine you can also use the engine directly you can use it for a monthly fee of around $9.90 (used google to find price) but you can also develop your own game with that fee https://www.cryengine.com/download Animations made with 3dstudio max for cryengine tutorial https://www.cryengine.com/tutorials/view/animation-and-characters/3ds-max/article/reorienting-animations-in-3ds-max Animations made with blender for cryengine tutorial https://www.cryengine.com/tutorials/view/animation-and-characters/blender-1/article/reorienting-animations-in-blender-character-pipeline-1 For maya https://www.cryengine.com/tutorials/view/animation-and-characters/maya/article/reorienting-animations-in-maya
Cyrops Posted November 25, 2022 Posted November 25, 2022 Hi, Seems like a good place to ask. Why has no one made a mod that swaps Theresa from DLC to play instead of Henry in main game? Seems like an easy swap, from videos she has her own UI and animations seem to be there? The DLC came out in 2019, thought by now there would be such a mod.
