Oblivion Race Menu Hair/Eye Problem

Please someone help, On the race menu when i try to switch between hairs nothing happens, (you can here the sound as if you did move the slider to change hair but your hair doesn't change, It just stays the ugly current version -.-) same thing with eyes

That happens if the hair/ eyes that you want to switch to are broken. Check if you installed them correctly or if the mod itself is buggy.

Sometimes I'm having the very same effect. Either with hairstyles, eyes or both. Astonishingly, simply saving the current character, reloading this save and immediately reentering the menu does fix it everytime. Previously unchangeable hair and eyes work again like they should.

 

This is the only correct way to exit the menu anyway (unless you want to start a new game with a new character) in order not to mess up the character's stats. Please try the method described - just save, reload and try the race menu again. Hopefully this will work in your game, too.

You may still have a broken hair installed. What I had encountered was similar. I would switch through hairs but they wouldn't show up (only the name in the menu). Then I clicked on face editing and suddenly the new hair appeared. That is, except a couple of hair styles that had their textures placed in a wrong directory by the author. After fixing this issue all hairs showed up without trouble.

Ok thanks, but if the hair was pt in the wrong directory can someone tell me how to fix it?

You choose Patch of WB in TES4Edit and start.

You should confirm how the racial hairstyle was finally arranged.
