feeding bug (dawnguard)

I am having a problem with feeding after harkon turns me into a vampire. i can feed, and the animation plays, but it doesn't revert me to the first stage of vampirisim. (i tried reloading a previous save, before turning into a vampire, turned again, same bug). i am not running many mods, and those that i do run are mostly for better looking things (body,race*,face etc.)

*my race is the Nord vanilla race, but with a better faces mod.

 

anyone knows how i can fix this? thanks in advance
