demongoat Posted October 2, 2011 Posted October 2, 2011 ooo alliteration.. anyway, i'm looking for some help with the high heel system, mostly how to add the effect to shoes people have made already. i was going to modify some of the heels that come with apachii, but i'm still having issues figuring out the steps to do it correctly. anyone out there willing to help a beginner?
Siouliusn Posted October 2, 2011 Posted October 2, 2011 You have to add a script in the item menu shown in the CS. So either you load your shoe mod with the VHH mod and make it a master of the shoe mod, or you add directly the shoe in the VHH mod and give it the script.

[/quote'] i guess i didn't make it too clear that i was looking for help with blender should have made it more clear i guess. no problems with CS here more so with getting meshes working with the heel nifs. at this point i'm trying to figure out how to parent things and get the bones to work right.
EvenstarGW Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 The mod page on nexus has a tutorial (Ziitch tutorial for modder) which might help.
demongoat Posted October 3, 2011 Author Posted October 3, 2011 The mod page on nexus has a tutorial (Ziitch tutorial for modder) which might help. yeah i tried it before, it worked well until i removed all the bogus nodes. i have a missing step somewhere i'm not getting. here is what i did: i import the skeleton, in this case the universal one for modders, set to skeleton and parent with the hhha1.kf it loads then i load the heels i'm using, in this case the angel fetish shoes from apachii (i deleted the body mesh in nifskope, nothing left of it) then i move them to align with the ground. then i go into edit mode and separate the meshes like it says, it gives me a load of meshes though, it has nails and the separation makes each nail its own branch. next i export it with default settings, then i go into nifskope and clean up the meshes. the thing is when i do clear bogus nodes it removes everything but the two calf nodes, no feet nodes at all! so.. i guess i need help with how to attach bones to parts of the mesh? would it work right if i clean after i export the second time? or is there more to it than the tutorial says?
EvenstarGW Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 Did you select the skeleton and use "parent to selected" when importing the heels? I must admit I haven't actually done it properly myself so if that's not it, I'd better leave it to the pros.

[/quote'] you mean import geometry only + parent to selected armature? yes, the issue is i can't get bones to attach to the foot and other parts.
