Xbox Pad and Keyboard

I use an Xbox 360 controller but get annoyed everytime i want to use console or a mod that requires i push some keyboard keys. As that requires pausing game, going to controls, disabling, abox pad, exiting menu, pressing the apporiate key, going back into menu,naviagting to controls, enabling the 360 controller, wxting the menu to continue to play.

 

My question is;

 

is there anyway to make a simple mod so that the keyboard is not completely disabled when an XBox controller is used?
