Hello and Welcome

Summary:

  • Cannot pinpoint problem NPC.
  • Mod not yet identified (needle in a haystack).
  • Looking for a command/tool to obtain cell information in-game.

The 'TLDR':

I am troubleshooting content that results in a crash upon being looked at/loaded. More often than not I have found these to be facegen related issues and fixed them accordingly. However, I cannot always remember what mod places which NPCs where and thus have found myself with a lazy man's conundrum: Instead of disabling mods until the problem is resolved, I created a new save, traveled to the location, and began disabling NPCs and objects via console commands.

Using detect life, tfc, and listening for dialogue are useful in identifying NPCs, yet they are not always successful when dealing with a basilisk. In the past, I remember there were mods that would scan for NPCs within a certain radius. I don't remember the names of such mods, or if they provided names/IDs of content scanned.

Caution-the sample footage contains an imminent crash.
