Jimmy Saville. Guilty but what can you do?

In our daily news Jimmy Saville's name comes up again and again not surprisingly and it puts a lot of pressure right across the board of british society. The BBC is under the most pressure because they had employed him on a huge number of occasions and questions are asked how could the not know/turn a blind eye but then there's a number of hospitals/police forces who also knew or strongly suspected the person's sexual predation and did nothing because he was hugely popular and was seen to devote his time to charitable causes. Now that he's dead and all this is comming out the question is "what can you do?". I suppose you could dismantle the BBC for their part in this but..they're no more guilty than others in all this and these economic times, not the best course of action. you scream someone has to pay but again who? Pretty much anyone who had dealings with Saville are the people who gave him the power to do what he did, knowingly or unknowingly. Make sure it never happens again? well I'm pretty certain he was and still isn't the only one but as long as the people keep "turning a blind" because it could seen as a benefit for the greater good then sexual predators like Saville will just keep on comming

Two things to bear in mind.

1) You can't libel the dead

2) The Savile estate, the BBC and the NHS are extremely lucrative sources for compensation claimants.

JS may have been a working-class weirdo who pissed off his less successful yet better-bred colleagues. That doesn't mean that every bit of malicious gossip spread over the decades was true, or that every obese middle-aged inadequate that claims that they were a victim is telling the absolute truth. Granted some may not be in it for the money, "celebrity" is also coveted these days.

There may be some fire under all the smoke, but no serious investigation ever found a reliable case to answer while he was alive. Maybe it suits the current political agenda (within the BBC and maybe further) to exploit this crap now.
