SFM Overwatch Mei Model Retexture Trouble.

Hello LoversLab. I come to you in great need. Recently I took up my very first Blender lewding project for a SFM animator that requested a Mei model from Overwatch with the back of her parka hiked up and her buttocks exposed. 

 

I'm entirely new to Blender and SFM but despite this I started by removing the back flap of Mei's Parka and actually succeeded. Here's a pic of how it looks. Success.jpeg.16aca9e45695061d6cf7a8f53c1a957b.jpeg

 

However I then went to work retexuring Mei's bottoms to make it resemble she was bare bottomed. And that is where I ran into tragedy.

After doing some research I found that the problem was with the VTF file having something called an Alpha mask which gives the model a layer of transparent textures. I tried a few things such as the $Basetexture hack but nothing worked.

Hopefully a naughtymancer more skilled and experienced than me knows of a possible solution to this problem. Any advice on properly retexuring Mei's pants while working around the alpha mask would be greatly appreciated.
