Workshop Menu Opens and then Immediately Closes

Not sure when it started, but all of the sudden, whenever I try to open the workshop menu (via holding down V/middle mouse button) (or via activating the workbench), the workshop menu will open for a split second, and the immediately close. I've also noticed, that if I hold down the middle mouse button, after the workshop menu has opened and closed several times, my AP starts to go down.

 

Attached is a video I created demonstrating the problem. In the video, I was holding down the middle mouse button. At the very end of the video, you can see the AP drain.
