ZaZ Animation Pack and Defeat Help Please

I could use a little help with an issue I'm having with Zaz and Defeat. They are kinda separate (at least I think). So I'll start with Defeat. I apologize in advance if either of these things are addressed in the forums under the mods themselves. They are like 500 pages long and word searches don't really get me to exactly what I'm looking for.
 

So with Defeat, every single time I test it, the bandits do their thing after I surrender. But on the second round (if there is one), or the second time the same group catches me, the game gets stuck. My character either sits there for hours (realtime, I've tested it). Usually I can still move my camera, sometimes I can wait for an hour, but I can never move. 

 

With Zaz Animation I think it might be a conflict between that and Alternative Start. I was testing out some of the animations before leaving the dungeon (I picked Escape from Prison for the start), and every time I finished the '

king perfectly until I got Devious Devices properly installed (which took some troubleshooting as well).
