Two problems

I've recently had to reinstall FO4 and have run into two problems.  One:  In character creation when I strip the pc to add tattoos the game freezes.  This happens with the males as far as I know since I don't play females.  Originally I thought this was due to the mod Body Talk, but I uninstalled and installed EVB instead, and the game still freezes when I strip him during character creation.

Two:  When I install or create a new body preset.  It is not listed in the available body presets drop down menu.

Has anyone had either of these problems before and if so how did you fix it?  Also I forgot to mention I recently updated a ton of mods for FO4, so can that be the issue even though I am starting a new game?

Edit:  Forgot here's my load order:

I had the first problem a while back, something to do with looksmenu and f4se not playing well together.  Just use the "showlooksmenu 14" command once you've started the game.

As for the second, idk, sorry.

No problem thanks for answering my first question.  I have another if you don't mind.  So if it's safe to strip the pc using the "showlooksmenu 14" command.  Does that mean they can engage in sexual activities, and the game won't crash once they strip?

So I'm not sure if you've got the exact same problem as me, so i can't be certain of anything really. But if you do, then yeah, stripping at any other point other than the initial character customization is fine.

Okay thank you for the response to my question.

I am still having problems with my body preset not showing, when trying to change the body shape of clothing and armor.

Hi Kain82,

I understand that the "strip button" causes CTD... it is not your body choice, it is a known problem.

Looksmenu requires F4SE. Each time I create a PRESET in Looksmenu, the new preset is placed in the Overwrite Folder - make sure that this is copied/merged into the F4SE folder too.

Hi, the preset I am talking about is the body preset created in bodyslide.  Once it is created and I choose an outfit the body is not listed in the drop down menu.  As for the strip button thank you.  As long as the game doesn't freeze when my character engages in sexy times with Piper and Curie.

Hey, sorry about not understanding second question...

I use CBBE, so say if I wanted to TWEAK one of the existing CBBE presets and save it...

In Bodyslide, in OUTFIT/BODY I choose CBBE Body and then in PRESET I select CBBE Chubby.

Now I tweak the CBBE Chubby sliders to my liking, and once I am done, I have 2 options: SAVE or SAVE AS

SAVE overwrites the existing pre-defined Preset --> keep CBBE Chubby preset name but it is now customized,

SAVE AS creates a new CBBE Preset which you can rename in the Bodyslide window [Enter Preset Name] and associate the new Preset with a Group by checking one of the options below... in my example I named the new Preset as "CBBE Chubby 2" and associated it with the "CBBE Body" Group... and confirm the new Preset name in the second Save MS window.

SO I am guessing you either used SAVE which overwrites an existing Preset but keeps the original name, or you used SAVE AS but (i) associated to another Group or no Group at all (if that is possible), or (ii) saved the new Preset to a custom location of your HD that Bodyslide does not use so it doesn't load your new preset.

Do a simple test (tweak an existing preset then Rename it using SAVE AS amd use the default Bodyslide path) and see if that works.

I will do as you say.  But I've been using Bodyslide for both Skyrim and FO4 since release and never had any problems.  When I tweak an existing preset to my liking I do use the save as option, and save it in the same folder as the other presets.  I will check the folder now and do as you say.  Thanks!

Hey just wanted to say I did as you instructed and it worked like a charm.  It was so obvious i have no idea how I missed that.  Once again thank you.  Now I can play FO4 again. :)
