Snake1384 Posted September 11, 2019 Posted September 11, 2019 i'd like to add the words "slow" or "fast" to the animations. how would i go about doing that? you can just tell me what program to use, and what tool in the program that i need to use. thank you in advance.
TheGamerBoy96 Posted September 12, 2019 Posted September 12, 2019 It is the creator of the animation that chooses the title of the animation if the animations are not yours you cannot
Michse222 Posted September 12, 2019 Posted September 12, 2019 Well, it's a lot of work and sometimes guessing: 1. First you need s4pe to open the package file 2. Find the XML (search for the tag) - it contains all the information for the animations 3. go to Resource -> export -> to file and save it where you want. 4. open the XML file (e.g. with notepad++) and search for the animation you want to change 5. edit or add <T n="animation_tags"> TAG, TAG2, TAG3,...</T> or for kinky <T n="animation_theme_tags"> TAG, TAG2, TAG3,... </T> (this should be above <T n="animation_loops">1</T>) 6. save the file 7. open s4pe, load the package, go to Resource -> import -> from file (your edited XML) 8. save the package, copy it into your mods folder & enjoy please note that the edit has to be redone for each update (parts of the XML could possibly be copied - the potential to mess it up is unfortunatly rather high...) the most important thing: please don't upload the edited package as your own. The creators spend a lot of time making those - edits for personal use are no problem, everything else should be discussed with the creator first ?
Snake1384 Posted September 12, 2019 Author Posted September 12, 2019 thank you. your instructions sound pretty clear to me. and i understand, no sharing modified animations. thanks again.
nugerumon Posted September 13, 2019 Posted September 13, 2019 Sounds like it could be easier with Sims 4 Studio, as you can use it to directly edit XMLs of packages without the exporting/importing stuff. It even does basic syntax checking.

Also everytime the creator re-upload the package with new animations all the titles will be resetted
tahadar Posted September 14, 2019 Posted September 14, 2019 @TheGamerBoy96 Let me put things in perspective for you. After the user download the files - animation, scripts or whatever - they stop being property of the creator. Short of redistributing the files under a different name or for money, the user have total control over them. And even in the case of monetizing other person work or assuming credits for it, the original author have about 0.00001 % chance to do something punitive to actually affect the "thief". So how about get off from the high horses and let the information flow free?
