NightOwlKing Posted September 11, 2019 Posted September 11, 2019 hey quick question about the First person camera, is there a way to turn off the auto adjusting? it gets annoying to have to keep moving my mouse ever ohh slightly to stare at something i want to so my camera wont snap back to my sims is looking at, i get it helps with immersion, but i want to easier on the eyes and be more freedom for us. I want move my head on my own free will, not the sims. is there a mod to fix this, or something i can do in my game files? please anyone know?

Personally, I am also annoyed by the way the first person camera works, but devs at EA pretty much warned us it would be less than stellar when they added it to the game. I am not sure if there are secret controls or what, but I agree that something should be done about the wonky way it acts. I put this on my list to do once I am actually able to see normally again - mainly because I am curious if it can be done, and also because the first person camera is horrible and should really be improved.

I think I found what we're looking for, and I feel stupid for not knowing this in the first place. Just press SHIFT in first person mode and the camera will pretty much stop going all over the place. I had a feeling there might be "secret controls" which weren't secret at all. Does this help?

I think I tried that as well, yes it does help more with the non stop movement, but still does not stop the auto adjusting for the sim your looking through. try to go in first person and hit shift and stare some where the sims never look, and wait a few moment and it auto adjusts like when you hit Ctrl. i just want to look in one direction without my camera bothering me, i rather control 100% of the camera.
