SKSE64 Crashing On Startup When It's Run through Mod Organizer 2(Skyrim SE)

Hey everyone

I recently got back to skyrim SE modding and stuff(I used to play and mod oldrim) and installed SSE.It's now updated to 1.5.80.0.I also installed Mod Organizer 2 and LOOT firsthand and executed the game launcher.Everything was fine. Then I installed SKSE64(correctly,of course) and executed its launcher too.It worked too. Then I began adding a few mods(such as alternate start and SkyUI) and ran loot.I did NOT clean any plugins.LOOT sorted the load order out. Then I ran MO2 to launch the game and see if the mods are working.THIS IS WHERE I ENCOUNTERED THE PROBLEM.I ran MO2 as administrator and launched SKSE64 THROUGH it.SKSE64 LOADED and prompted the game screen, the only difference being the screen was greyed out, and even played the intro sound.SUDDENLY,before reaching the main menu,it crashed back to desktop.I don't know what the problem is so I wanted to ask you guys.some notes:

1)Skyrim SE is not installed in an USER ACCOUNT CONTROL area.

2)BOTH Skyrim SE and SKSE64 Run smoothly by themselves.

3)WHEN I RUN SKSE64 THROUGH MO2 with ADMINISTRATIVE RIGHTS,It crashes as described above.

4)I even disabled and even REMOVED every other mod EXCEPT SKSE64 yet the same thing happens.

5)If I can't get SKSE to run from MO2,I Can't GET ANY GAMEPLAYING MOD TO WORK.(I believe TEXTURES still work as they act independently)

6)I never had this kind of THING in the oldrim.

6)and THANKS FOR YOUR HELP.

PLEASE ADVISE ME ON SOLVING THIS MATTER.

THANK YOU

Can you run Skyrim without SKSE64 using MO2? There should be an option to start Skyrim Special Edition in MO 2s dropdown menu

OMG.I could launch Skyrim Se through MO2 without problems. Now it's somewhat the same as SKSE64 being run through MO2.The only difference is that the screen switches back to black a few times from the grey color then it crashes to desktop.

Is there a problem with my MO2?

what could be the problem?

thanks by the way

If you think you're having fun with SKSE64 wait until you try installing FNIS. Why do you want to run it through MO2. I use Vortex but still have a shortcut on the desktop for the skse launcher.

I must run SKSE64 through MO2 because MO2 uses virtual folders for mod installation meaning that nothing will change in the game directory. If I launch SKSE64 manually,it would only load itself and the base game.

NMM installs the mods directly into the game folder, eliminating the need for SKSE64 launch through NMM itself.

Which version of SKSE are you trying to use? You should be using 2.0.16 just a heads up!

I also installed Mod Organizer 2 and LOOT firsthand and executed the game launcher.

1) Did you install MO2 as a standalone or normal install? Where did you install your steam game and MO2 directories? I know you say not in an UAC area, but still you should run MO2 and the steam game from the same drive (FYI if you use a HDD and SSD).
2) When you say you executed the game launcher - do you mean you ran SSE through steam without MO2 first? That is required to set up directories and to verify the game's been legally installed. Some mods will not work otherwise (FNIS for example). This might be your problem.

Did you also add a folder containing the SKSE 64 Scripts in MO2 at the top below your DLCs? This could be a problem if not.

Running MO2 as admin is always good - try navigating to your Skyrim SE directory and making SSE run as admin as well, that can help. Although I cannot comment on these specific issues - if you try the things I mentioned they might fix the issue since it seems to be a startup issue.

Hope this works out!

Yes,it's 2.0.16 and works perfectly by itself(checked it within the game).

normal installation(not python-based version).I also installed the game in D:\Games though MO2 is located in ?

I ran the game and SKSE64 first(independently) to be certain about their performance.T

hen I ran SSE through MO2 which caused the game screen to grey out and then crash before reaching the main menu.

I think my problem is somehow connected to memory usage.

So my suggestion would be to try using Beth ini - you can find it on Nexus here. Follow the directions, pretty straight forward. If you have separate profiles for MO2 and the option for separate ini's checked you will need to copy them into each profile (be warned). You can launch it through MO2 but must close MO2 when running it though - just  heads up. If you use this to edit the graphics options it might help. I would especially recommend turning down the grass diversity as that is an easy way to gain fps without hurting your visual experience much.
