goaway Posted September 2, 2019 Posted September 2, 2019 As I FINALLY finish the update I have been working on, I am hoping to recruit a few testers to double check that everything works as intended before I release it, This is not a super rigorous testing process compared to the initial testing I did, since it's just an update instead of an entire mod. Basically I only have a few questions I need testers to answer. Does the mod work? Or, if you have downloaded a previous version, does it still work? Did I miss anything in regards to models/textures? Do XPMSE animations work with the skeleton path I have set up? I defined a nymph specific skeleton in one of the mod folders. It is just a copy of the most recent XPMSE skeleton, but supposedly pointing at a different/custom mesh path can break the animation style cloaks. No idea why this would be, and it was working just fine for me, but if it is going to be a problem I'd like to know this before I release it. Does the new follower, Nai'yari work? Does her multilayer parallax equipment look strange on ENB setups other than rudy/snapdragon? Also some feedback on her combat effectiveness would be appreciated. Her skillset was extremely challenging to balance correctly, and I had a hard time keeping her from being either too weak or too strong. The level of her powers have been finely tuned, but I haven't done as much testing I want on her average fighting strength and how long a fight needs to be for her to ramp up into full frenzy, or how often she actually reaches this point. This is part of the persistent balance issue I have had with her; She will either build strength too slowly in a fight, and it would end before she contributed much, or she would frenzy into killing machine mode in basically every fight, which isn't supposed to happen. She had a strange bug for a while where she would sometimes ditch her cutlass mid fight and loot a 2handed weapon off a dead enemy. This seemed to happen most often after she had built up a large stack of frenzy and was getting a sizable melee damage buff. I managed to fix it by locking her abilities to only work with her actual weapon so her cutlass at +500% damage looks more powerful than pretty much anything else. If you encounter this bug again please let me know. Do the random nymph world placements work? There are enough of them that they are scattered pretty much across the map, but I will include a guide with the location of each one. Do they look the way they are supposed to? Are they all correctly set to use recruitable follower friendly voicesets or did I miss any? I encountered a strange bug a few times early on that resulted in a CTD when entering a cell containing a beast nymph preset. It only happened a few times, but I don't think I did anything specific to fix it yet. It could have been a coincedence, but if this happens to you please let me know.
