Blue tint screen during combat

Hi all!

 

Well I actually found the cause of this problem, but it was so bizaare and hard to track down I thought you might want to hear about it and I had no idea where else to post this.

 

So basically during combat, my whole screen was turning a blue tint - exactly like the cateye effect. I checked my effects, but I did't have cateye in my inventory or my effects - and you know how long cateye can last, so the blue screen would last forever. I would save and reload but my screen would still be blue. It seemed to happen at random times during combat - so if I reloaded the same combat scene the screen would turn blue at different times, or sometimes not at all.

 

Turns out there's some bug that if (in my case) your companions, or the enemy has nuka quartz and uses it to heal, you will be subject to the cateye effect. I took the nuka quartz away from my companions and I haven't had the blue screen since.

 

So, there you go - hope that helps someone else, or maybe this was just old news. Although if someone does know how to permanetly fix this problem so i can give my companions nuka quartz, and not worry about my enemy stocking it and using it during combat, I'm totally open!!!
