Asking for ModList Suggestions

Hi everyone,

 

I was hoping to get some help on selecting some mods for my new install of Fallout 4.

Generally I take some times and browse through the site from the "recently updated" to the oldest, but this time I have some problem with this solution

 

The point is that I was kind of disappointed by the vanilla game (and it's tremendous [Imho] need of fix/correction/improvements/bugfix/CreationKitUpdates/etc.), so I stopped to check mods, updates, etc. and now I'm totally confused about which project are to consider outdated, which are the "trends", the "opposite family" of mods, and so on.

 

So, I'd like to ask some suggestion related mods both adult-only and not (I'm posting here on the adult part of the forum just to be safe :P)

 

I should be ok with some basics (LooksMenu, CBBE, CROSS, Sim Settlers), but, If you want to suggest something I'm listening.

 

As generic indications:

• I'm not using Fallout from 2, maybe 3 years
• I like cybernetics/sci-fi themes for clothings/weapons
• I like a bit of challenge and survival themes
• I like mods that "blend well" with the game (like for example: clothing integration, assigned automatically in the leveled list to npcs)
• I use mostly Female characters
• I like sexualixed contents, but generally avoid iper-sexualized ones.
• I don't have problems about the contents allowed on the site, if not my cup of tea I simply go on, so feel free to suggest.
• I prefer bigger mod with multiple features to the little one (just trying to avoid to hit the Roof limit of 255 mods :P)

 

The final goal is about a sexualized version of Fallout 4, with survival, sci-fi and a bit of challenge (personally I think it's a pretty common request)

 

Btw, I can handle mod installing/compatibility procedures

 

 

Said so I thank anyone who would like to help me, I understand that this it's probably the noob question that pops-up almost every tot times so sorry if it sounds annoying.

Bitraitbecs Modlist includes CBBE. I think you're OK adding adult mods on top of it as long as you're careful/selective about it. Meaning pay attention to what's already on the list and don't  try overwriting anything or installing anything it already does. But I think adding animations and such should be OK. Also installing this modlist is a very long process but it's worth it considering the number of mods included that all manage to work together. (It even includes all the big quest mods like Tales from the Commonwealth, Depravity, Outcasts and Remnants, etc. so huge amount of content added to the  game.)

As a bonus suggestion I'm playing Horizon + Sim Settlements right now (with the compatibility patch and RoTC city plans.) I doubt it's compatible with any mods like CBBE but it's a really cool total game overhaul. Horizon Compatibility List

If you want to get crazy as I have in the past you can take a look at Kinggath's Mod List (Sim Settlements creator), find a bunch of mod suggestions and just start adding stuff until something breaks.

EDIT: Just some notes on these 3. Bitraitbec and Horizon are both Survival based and increase difficulty. BitRaitBec, in my opinion, is the best way to play through quest mods. It individually overhauls everything with the best mods on Nexus and gives you a totally new playthrough.

Horizon isn't compatible with much of anything. Instead of a guide on making all the mods compatible, Horizon is an all-in-one overhaul. That said, I'm only playing it because of the SS compatibility. It's not compatible with SS Conqueror but the RoTC city plans are cool enough that I wanted to give it a try. Auto building Horizon settlements via SS gives a lot to play with, but it's not my favorite playthrough.

Kinggath's Mod List is my favorite. It includes Conqueror which gives you a raider play through (with a quest line) and let's you raid/take over settlements with said faction. Or you can download a faction pack and ally yourself with literally anyone. The institute, triggermen, Zetans, children, mirelurks, it's all available. Sim Settlements is compatible with a lot of stuff, you can pretty much mix, match and play to your hearts content. (NOT scrapping mods like Scrap Everything, those mods aren't compatible with any of these suggestions.) Just review that Kinggath Modlist for incompatibilities. For example, More Uniques was recently marked as incompatible.  That list is constantly being edited along with Kinggath's Conqueror play through.

But there's 3 totally unique overhaul/playthrough's for ya. BitRaitbec, Horizon, and SS Conqueor.

^ If you're interested in Horizon + SS, there's also F4EE which is a more recent modlist. The really cool thing about it is that it (optionally) uses Wabbajack, the new tool that makes it possible to automate almost everything so the end-user needs to do minimal work; in F4EE's case you just click to install, copy over some files and you're done.

What does Wabbajack do? Automatically download all the mods in the list? Like Twitch Minecraft modpacks?

With Wabbajack the problem is that I haven't a premium account, but I'll give a look to the mod list, to see if I find something interesting.

Yep, that's precisely what it does - depending on the complexity of the modlist there may be some extra steps involved, such as dyndolod for Lexy's LOTD SE. But still, it's obviously a pretty huge deal, the only downside if you will is what ltx already mentioned. The premium account is needed because nexus only gives its API for premium users, but wabbajack does support other download sources (google drive, MEGA etc.) as well.

Other sources? That's pretty amazing. I was going to say Nexus is planning on implementing ModPacks this year, which is awesome.  But I'll have to check this wabbajack thing out.

 

Edit: Only supports certain games I see. I would love something that you can throw a list of URL's into and have everything download/extract into a specified folder. ie. modpacks for all the things.
