solstice37 Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 ok im a complete noob to modding so im trying this out' date=' so i followed the instructions on installation http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=12248, but i cant seem to import nif files it wont let me can some one help me out [/quote'] I use the files of this tutorial: http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=28326 In the tutorial ".pdf" tells you how install it in correct order, I got a lot of problems for make a bad install. Sorry for my english. The files in that tutorial are really out of date. Blender is fickle in that it needs the correct Python version. NifScripts requires a compatible PyFFI. Yet PyFFI can use the latest Python. I am running Blender on windows so I can't say if it will work on mac. But these are the files version I have install and in the order it should be install. 1. latest Version/Service Pack of VisualC++ 2. Python 2.6.6 3. PyFFI 2.1.6 4. Blender 2.49b 5. Blender NifScripts 2.5.5 *Edit: If you did follow the instruction at nexus, then make sure you open a nif file by going to File > Import > NetImmerse/Gamebyro
Symon Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 I don't believe you need this:- "1. latest Version/Service Pack of VisualC++" Blender is written in Python.
