gyogeul Posted August 15, 2019 Posted August 15, 2019 I recently updated WickedWooHoo to the Aug. 12 2019 update. Everything was working fine but two things: 1) kept getting last exception error (have had this for the longest but just ignored it, but finally decided to fix it) and lastly and most importantly 2) no floor animations (whether with a sim alone or with another sim; clicking on, say, the floor, just gave me an option for settings. Before I had anal/vaginal/oral/etc for floor animations and it worked fine) Game version I'm using: I have a cracked sims 4, updated all the way to Strangerville To try to solve the last exception error, I tried doing several things: - taking out all mods except wickedwoohoo (double checked, absolutely none) - mods and scripts are enabled in settings - checked to make sure there are no more than two wickedwoohoo files (script and tuning) - took out all animations - put wickedwoohoo one folder deep (extracted the rar file inside mod folder) - put all wickedwoohoo folds simply within the mod folder (not one folder deep) - tried using a freshly new game of sims - deleted my settings, lastexception test files (didn't think this would do anything and figured they would come back [they did] but did it anyways) Exactly the same "An error related to WickedWhims has occurred! An exception file (WickedWhims_Exception.txt) has been created!" message as before, even with all my mods out, on a new game, etc. This issue also has happened with every other version I've used of WickedWoohoo. The actual last exception message: >08/15/19 17:12:39 Traceback (most recent call last): File ".\WickedWhims v145c\turbolib2\services\affordances_service.py", line 175, in _turbolib_on_ocean_service_start AttributeError: type object 'TerrainService' has no attribute 'OCEAN_DEFINITION' TurboLib: [TurboLib] Failed to run 'AffordanceRegistration' class at affordances injection to the Ocean object. -> AttributeError: type object 'TerrainService' has no attribute 'OCEAN_DEFINITION' LASTLY, lack of no floor animations. I don't know how to test this myself but this is an issue. Everything else works, but there are no floor animations. Before I updated I had lots of floor animations, and now I can't access them.
BillyPilgrim Posted August 15, 2019 Posted August 15, 2019 WickedWhims doesn't support cracked versions of Sims 4. It may have worked in the past, but there's no guarantee it will in the future because you have an illegitimate version of the Sims.

I don't really get the logic behind this; the game is the same whether it be cracked or not, and the original is very much just as prone to glitches/breaking as the cracked is from my own personal experience at least . I get saying that your mod doesn't support cracked versions to appease the Origin overlords but in reality it's the same game obtained in two different ways, not two different games types.

For one, it's not my mod. Two, it's a site wide policy. Loverslab does not support cracked games. Three, the reason is because there is no guarantee that the game files are in the right place or that it is properly updated. You may have game content through Strangerville, but it is possible that key files needed to run WickedWhims or other mods are missing. Since you have a cracked game, it's impossible for a mod author to properly troubleshoot. The author has no way of knowing if the normal files are all in the right place and acting as they should be. Finally, the latest version of WickedWhims supports ONLY the latest game version of Sims 4. If you don't have the exact version, it won't work properly. Sorry, but that's the way things go.

Two doesn't address my point though, and I can attest that when I did use origin (and I still have origin, mind you) I also would get the same last exception error and no matter what I did I wasn't able to solve it. And also just to make it very clear, for a very long time I used only origin and no cracked files. Three - if that was true, the mod in general wouldn't work, or at least bits of it wouldn't work. The mod from my view works perfectly as well as all of the features, but for whatever reason I get a last exception file. You do have a point about the version, but the error is still the same as I've been getting. I did downgrade to one that fits my version but the error still persists and has more or less always persisted, so the notion of 'it's because your game is cracked doesn't work in my case.
BillyPilgrim Posted August 16, 2019 Posted August 16, 2019 WickedWhims only identifies errors. It isn't necessarily the cause of them. It can identify errors in the base game, expansion packs, other mods, and WickedWhims. It's quite possible that your initial error was a base game problem that has since been patched out. It's hard to tell because there's no guarantee of the state of your game. If you want to try and track it down, you can always post lastexception.txt - not the WickedWhims one - or use lastexception.com and see what you find. But you're not going to get a ton of help since you use a cracked game.

Weird though, since shortly after I made this post I went spring cleaning in my mod folder and organised everything and stopped getting the error message for WickedWooHoo, but still got it for MC CC, and the website told me what mods I had that gave me the message, and finally used it and I get no error messages from either. Thanks for the recommendation
