Kalco Posted August 15, 2019 Posted August 15, 2019 Hello! I am relatively new to LL and have little experience modding Skyrim SE using Mod Manager. I have been trying to start a new game with the Deviously Cursed Loot mod, which requires SexLab Aroused Redux to work. But everytime I try to install the mod on Mod Manager, I get an error message saying this: "Installation as fomod failed: Missing requirement: The file 'SexLabAroused.ESM' should be active, but was inactive!"  Have all mod requirements for Deviously Cursed Loot installed, including SexLab Aroused Redux. None of my other 92 Nexus and LL mods have come up with this type of error, and when this error pops up, the mod does not install, even after all the files have gone through the extranction process. I even tried using the older versions of SexLab Aroused.  Is there some form of workaround, a download I am missing, or some setting in Mod Manager I need to change? Or do I actually have to start a save file and the game before I install Deviously Cursed Loot? 'Cause I have yet to actually start my game first.  If you have a solution, please write a decently detailed or step-by-step way on how to fix this as I am still relatively new to modding in general.
Guest Posted August 15, 2019 Posted August 15, 2019 What is Mod Manager? Which Mod Manager do you use? Did you mean to say Mod Organizer?  If that's the case, check that your sexlab aroused is properly installed. That mod has an additional folder which causes a careless install to not work properly. Usually mods installed through Mod Organizer are placed under Quote ...\Mod Organizer 2\mods\name_of_the_mod\(the mod files go here) For example: Quote "...\Mod Organizer 2\mods\SexLabArousedSSELoose"\(mod files) which is the default folder name of the SE version of SL Aroused (don't try to use any other one, it won't help you and won't work). Under the "SexLabArousedSSELoose" folder are the mod files, such as the meshes, interface, scripts folder, the plugins (esp/esm) and so on. But as I said, SL Aroused comes with an extra folder so a default install gives you this  Quote "...\Mod Organizer 2\mods\SexLabArousedSSELoose"\Data\(mod files)  That extra Data folder makes the other subfolders and files to be in the incorrect place and Mod Organizer won't recognise them as a valid mod. So, the fix is easy, all you need to do is pay attention when you add a mod. Delete your copy of SL Aroused, and install it again. This time when you see the "Quick Install" promt, select "Manual" and then you will see something like this Quote <data>  >☑ Data      <--- Right click here and "Set data directory"   You will see that the message at the bottom of the installer goes from "No game data on top level" to "Looks good" as you do it. Then click "Ok" to finish the install.Â
Kalco Posted August 16, 2019 Author Posted August 16, 2019 @Sternum Yes I am using Mod Organizer 2 (sorry for not clarifying) and thank you for the heads up. While my first problem is fixed, as I am now using the SE version of SexLab Aroused, I am having the same problem with SexLab mod for SE, more specifically the mod pops up as 'SexLabFrameworkSE v163 BETA'. If you or someone could provide a link to the proper SexLab SE mod, that would be most appreciated.
Kalco Posted August 16, 2019 Author Posted August 16, 2019 Actually it did work with the version I had said in the reply above. I just needed to activate the mod in Mod Organizer 2 by making sure the box next to the mod was checked. And again, thank you for the help.

The SE version is here, just download the file named "SexLabFrameworkSE_v163_BETA7.7z". For other SE mods I'd recommend you to visit the SE section of the forums, the thread about SL framework is there, as well as other useful threads (I'd suggest to take a look at the Conversion Tracking thread for links and info about other mods for SE).
