jm07562 Posted August 12, 2019 Posted August 12, 2019 Once of the annoying 'features' of Sims 4 is locking doors. If you don't lock your doors then random sims will just waltz into your house and eat your food, read your books, sleep in your bed etc. But if you lock your doors then any sims that you invite over, or come to visit, can't be given exclusions and you have to unlock your doors to let them in. Consequently you have to keep your doors unlocked so they can leave. All this micromanagement means I often forget to re-lock them and this seems to be a signal as bright as the LOTR mountain beacons to any passing sim to waltz in and have sex. It's getting frustrating, especially when you can't ask these sims to leave if you haven't been introduced. If in the case I get invited out and my doors are unlocked, I'll often come home to random sims in my house having sex. Surely there must be settings in WW to tell sims that my house is off limits without stopping autonomous sex between my active sims and npc sims? Honestly there are so many settings in WW that I've become overwhelmed and I change barely anything from the stock settings. I really love WW, especially with the new attractiveness add-on, but this overall behaviour is getting ridiculous.

The only thing you can do is go to this link and click "me too" and hope they fix it in the future (I know....yeah right lol) https://answers.ea.com/t5/Bug-Reports/OPEN-NPCs-coming-into-apartments-houses-uninvited/td-p/6413904
jm07562 Posted August 12, 2019 Author Posted August 12, 2019 That thread has been going since 2016... so yeah no hope there. Sigh. Guess that's what we should expect from EA.
Valancy Posted August 12, 2019 Posted August 12, 2019 Hello, if You have big house I suggest You to get the sex permission marks (I got some with Wicked Whims, check Your pictures section). Place the marks "no sex permitted invisible" in the rooms and bathrooms and the strangers at least stop making love in Your house. And leave some rooms for sex, maybe sleeping room, one bathroom upstairs and mark them "sex permitted here", then lock the doors for strangers. The marks are invisible for You but the Sims knows about them. ;)

I have placed them in various areas of some venues and they work fantastically. But for those neighbors who pop in just to use my computers, I made a sitting room of sorts as you enter the house for visiting and locked the door to the rest of the house to all but household members. Along with a sitting area, I have a stereo in there as well as a chess table so I'm not a horrible host. But if I don't invite you, you don't get to eat my food or use my stuff.

You didn't ask but I hate when Sims come in and use my computer. EA must have thought this would be funny but it's just annoying. There is a mod that allows you to register computers/laptops/tablets(?) for specific Sims. It works so well and now sims don't come over a steal my wifi. And parents/children can have their own computers/laptops. XXXX She makes a lot of great mods, check them out. She keeps them updated fairly often so if you do use her mods, keep them/her site bookmarked and check back often.
