Dez Nulvoid Posted August 12, 2019 Posted August 12, 2019 I've been having some problems with the SE64 for Skyrim SE. I've been trying to get SkyUI to work, but kept saying it could not read the SE64. I finally figured out how to install it properly now I am getting the message that the version of SE64 is out dated for my version of Skyrim SE. Is there anyone else having this problem? Is there a way to fix this? Or do I just have to wait till SE64 is updated?
Guest Posted August 12, 2019 Posted August 12, 2019 The latest release of SKSE already supports the current version of SE. Just make sure you have the SKSE version to match the game version. If you go to the SKSE website, you should see this: ""Current SE build 2.0.16 (runtime 1.5.80)"" The "Current SE build" is the SKSE version (just don't use the Classic build, that's for Skyrim LE only). The "runtime" is the game version. You can check your Skyrim SE version by going to "...\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition", right click on SkyrimSE.exe -->"Properties" --> "Details" and check the "Product version". So for example, if you have your Skyrim SE updated through Steam, you should have the latest version (1.5.80). Then, if you use the SKSE 2.0.16 you should be fine. Installing SKSE is easy, just remember to put the exe and dll directly on your "Skyrim Special Edition" folder and not under the Data folder. The scripts can be installed directly on the Data folder or you can add them through a mod manager like Vortex or Mod Organizer.
