After building outfits in BodySlide, color variations show up as the the same color in-game

Hi!

It only happened to this UUNP conversion of Nezzar's Ultimate Lingerie Collection.

For example, one of the outfits only show up as red, even though my character is using another color (blue iirc). This also happens to the rest of the outfits, there was one which only shows up as blue, etc.

The original mod by Nezzar works fine  and I can see the color variations in-game.

I've tried re-downloading and re-installing it, but the issue still persists.

I also checked the textures and they weren't being overwritten by anything.

I'm using Mod Organizer 2 by the way, and I haven't had this issue when using other UUNP conversions with several color variations in the past.

I really like this conversion so, I'd like to stick to it if possible.

Any help would be much appreciated.

I can't really check to see if the mod is using them but if it is using texture sets to swap the colour then NiTriShape order and name in the nif are important for it to work.

And your conversion might have ended up changing it, on the plus side you should be able to fix both of these problems in nifskope.

Thanks for the reply.

May I ask if you can share a link on how to specifically fix NiTriShape order and name in the nif? This is my first time trying out nifskope and the tutorials I've seen are pretty overwhelming.

Cheers!

Doing it is pretty simple.

To re name a trishape you first select it in the block list (1).

Then in the block details you click the little "txt" button on name (2).

A box will open and its there you rename it (3) and then ok (4).

to rearrange trishapes you highlight it in the block list take note of the number it has on the left as that is its order, then simply hold the "Ctrl" button on your keyboard and hit either the up arrow key or the down one to move it.

Don't worry if it does not move place in the list as the number is all that matters, then save the nif by clicking the little floppy disk (top left, second icon).

Thanks for the detailed response. The color variations finally showed up.

May I ask if the following things I did were correct? I'm worried that I might have broken something without knowing it.

1. Renaming worked fine in nifskope, but ctrl+up and ctrl+down didn't properly work in rearranging trishapes. The number to the left of the trishapes weren't changing, and the trishape I just tried moving went inside the previous branch. So, I tried 'copy branch' and 'paste branch' to put the topmost trishape to the bottom of the block list. I deleted the original trishape at the top afterwards.

2. I tried editing the BodySlide output nifs first, but there was still no color variation.

So, I tried the nifs under the 'ShapeData' folder. At first, I both renamed and rearranged the trishapes, but there was a lot of clipping when I opened them in BodySlide.

On my next try, I just rearranged the trishapes and clicked build in BodySlide. Then I renamed the trishapes of the output nifs. And it finally worked.

Copying/pasting/deleting branches shouldn't cause any problems.. though sometimes it can go wrong it rarely ever did for me.

The nif in bodyslides 'shapedata' folder is also NiTriShape name dependant, but you can edit its corresponding .xml to rematch its name, i'm not 100% sure but i don't think BS cares about NiTriShape order.

If the shortcut for move up/down does not work you can do it the long (and painful) way.

Right click the NiTriShape then go to block then click move up or down there.

If its number still does not change after that you may need to update nifskope (or reinstall a fresh copy).

Thanks for all the help. Right clicking it and selecting move up/down didn't work, but reinstalling nifskope fixed it for me.

Cheers!
