Default underwear is always being used

It's a little weird, I've googled a bit but can't find anything that has helped me. When I click on my Sim and set their underwear, it all works fine. But then they won't actually use it. They always use the default white one. I thought that maybe it wasn't saving for some reason so I tried again but it seems like it saved just fine. Thanks in advance
