Back in the day, before there was HGEC, I used a tool that allowed me to pull a face off of a save file to be tweaked or inported to another save game. I was wondering if a newer tool like this was availible. My old Face Exchange lite just doesnt work anymore. It will load up and freeze (I think its a windows thing) and it rendered usless.

I know Bash has some face tool, but it dosent have the functionality I'm looking for which is mainly player face from one save game to another and the ability to tweak the face file without being in game.

Anything like that?

You can do what you describe with Bash. First you copy a blank esp from its folder to your data and rename it. Then right-click this esp and choose "import -> face". Select the desired save, or even an esp that contains the character you want. The face is then pasted onto a new npc named sgSomethingSomething (dependent on the race of the character and the name). Open the mod in the CS to edit the face. If it was a custom race, it will look like an imperial, but retains the slider settings. You can paste the face onto an NPC of the correct race and tweak it, then save the mod. Finally, right-click the saved game on the saves tab in bash, and choose import face. Select the tweaked NPC from your new mod and you should be good to go.

The latest version of FaceExchange lite never worked for me. But that one before still does. Still downloadable at Nexus. One thing I heard though is that you shouldn't use it with Oblivion XP because it copies some other stuff too.
