Sexlab Defeat "Essential Player" not working

When I have the "Essential player" option turned on in Sexlab Defeat; the moment the player reaches 0 HP, the camera begins spasming out while the player enter bleedout state for a moment before dying. 

 

The same issue happens even when I start a new game and my skyrim.ini contains "bEssentialTakeNoDamage=1". This issue do not occur with followers or other essential npcs.

 

Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks.

Its not foolproof,

It tends to work when there are not a lot of mods that run scripts through papyrus during combat.

 

There are not a lot of options for getting it too work properly other than to remove other mods that run scripts.

Might try fiddling around with papyrus budget but often its just best to leave it at vanilla values cause that's what the game is designed around.

 

Basically, if it were me, Id start thinking about what mods I don't need this play through that are scriptie in combat and drop them from the load order.

Uninstalled all the mods I believe run scripts during combat, but I still have the same issue. I do have a suspicion that I simply have too many mods, but that wouldn't explain why everything else is working completely fine.

At a glance,

 

I would get rid of HDTHighHeels.ESM

We have Nio-Override now, for many years in fact.

It doesn't take much to show the issues of HDThighheel compared to Nio-Override either.

Just 1 or 2 companions wearing them and you will start seeing characters sink into the ground or suddenly correct.

Never a problem in NioHeels.

 

Then there is Breakundies, which pretty much is an unsupported mod due to the overly complex nature of the mod, come on 7 mesh swap states per outfit made for it...That's crazy considering the strain on the resources that mesh swap states introduce into the game.

 

Anyway, its a matter of just making sure your not overburdening your game with a load of mods that do script engine work all the time, those two are good examples of that.
