Looking for a good alternative to Survival Mode

I'm looking for a mod that functions similar to survival mode, minus all the freezing and other issues I seem to have with it. My only conditions are: Must have fast travel and auto-save on transition. Does anyone know of one? I've looked around but I'd rather get others opinions before I make a decision.
