To be clear, this isn't about the common CTD when Potema's chamber opens--I wish I could get that far.

 

I've got a deeper problem--basically, after completing 'The Man Who Cried Wolf' and leveling up multiple times, the courier never decided to show up so I could never actually get the quest. I think this might have had to do with an earlier version of the Unofficial Skyrim Patch--unfortunately, updating to the most recent version of the patch doesn't help, and the creators are preoccupied with other things to fix.

 

The closest way to getting around to this is using this patch, which is imperfect, but it's something. Has anyone else had luck fixing the patch's bug?
