Guest Posted July 25, 2019 Posted July 25, 2019 I might (or not) get ryzen 5 3600 if i don't then i'll get the ryzen 5 2600. I won't have any problems running skyrim with my ryzen 2600 right? (including the mods that i'm gonna use such as ENBs etc.) GPU: MSI radeon vega 56 8GB. CPU: Ryzen 5 2600 (or 3600). Motherboard: MSI x470 Pro Carbon. Ram: 16GB corsair vengance DDR4. I think that i'll be able to run skyrim just fine but i'm still not sure.
Gameplayer Posted July 25, 2019 Posted July 25, 2019 Most people are probably going to be jellous over those specs. Thing is modding games is still a challenge even with a good computer, but that's part of the fun...Figuring out which mods are going to suite your taste and work well together. For Skyrim if you really had to be specific, maybe look for CPU with few cores that have a high clock and be pushed harder. Not sure what that would be though however I have read that pretty much for Beth games you want cores that have a high clock speed...More cores isn't important. That of course could mean you don't need the newest CPU just the one that has the highest clock speed and works with all your other parts you have in mind. Another thing that people argue about a lot... Solid State Drive. SSD the good old debate about SSD...Thing is once your modding the game its entirely deferent story, you want whats fastest and that means your investing in a decent sized SSD with good speeds. It makes a difference when you start getting into large amounts of mods. I have about 1 terabyte SSD...Before that I had one that had like 300 Gigs of space.
Guest Posted July 25, 2019 Posted July 25, 2019 Thing is that i wasn't planning on overclocking anything but i guess i could go with the ryzen 5 2600x instead of the 3600? my budget is limited so it's either the 2600(x?) or the 3600 one but anyways, thanks for the reply. (edit) I'll also get 2 terabyte hard drive and an SSD.
Gameplayer Posted July 25, 2019 Posted July 25, 2019 Honestly just about anything you throw at Skyrim is going to be leagues better than what the console machines are. Cant imagine spending what people did on those things, when its feasible to purchase some nice parts and possible build a good rig at similar prices.
Gameplayer Posted July 25, 2019 Posted July 25, 2019 To give you an idea, I have Intel Xeon CPU, W5580's @ 3.2 GHZ 2 processors 12 GB Ram SR-2 Motherboard GTX 1060 6GB Other than the card...This is an old machine, from like 2009 and its kicking the crap out of all the games available right now even modded. Now if I wanted to say start thinking about higher resolutions and VR well then I have to start upgrading. For a little while there though, you could pick up the Xeon CPU's and a SR-2 for just under 400 bucks cause departments were selling their old server computers. Now who knows, haven't kept track of it. My dad bought a nice labtop that is way faster than this though for 350 dollars at a brick an mortar the other day though so it cant be that hard to put something together on a budget.
Guest Posted July 26, 2019 Posted July 26, 2019 I guess ryzen 5 2600 will be more than enough to run ENB's and such?
