MarsMe Posted July 15, 2019 Posted July 15, 2019 Hello! So I have a problem with trying to get UNP textures to work without a tiny gap you can see through(see picture, It's very hard to see.) . I Have done a complete reinstall of Skyrim more than once and made sure to remove all folders. I tried several UNP textures Fair Skin, Demoniac and Elegant Beauty and it there is no difference so I figure it's a mesh problem? I don't think i touched any meshes though except for installing XPMSE and Body Slide. Or could it be a problem with ini files causing graphical glitch? I have ENB series 389, but only for ENB boost. Ā When i Installed Body Slide i Picked include unp data, Unp Hdt and the pre-built morphs and then i build unp body hdt + unp hands and unp feet (xpmse). Ā Just too make sure I removed the UUNP body and installed CBBE body/textures instead and the same problem appeared. Not a clean install this time though, just removed mods with NNM. Ā Load Order: Skyrim.esm=1 Update.esm=1 Dawnguard.esm=1 HearthFires.esm=1 Dragonborn.esm=1 Unofficial Skyrim Legendary Edition Patch.esp=1 SkyUI.esp=1 RaceMenu.esp=1 RaceMenuPlugin.esp=1 FNIS.esp=1 XPMSE.esp=1 SOSRaceMenu.esp=1 RaceMenuMorphsUUNP.esp=1 TheEyesOfBeauty.esp=1 Alternate Start - Live Another Life.esp=1 Ā enb 2019_07_15 17_14_53_76.bmp enb 2019_07_15 16_56_15_21.bmp
RW311 Posted July 15, 2019 Posted July 15, 2019 Did you build with morphs enabled, and if not did you change any of the uunp morphs in racemenu? Looks more like issue with anti aliasingĀ than with body mesh but if you changed body in racemenu using existing pre built morphs it could be off by enough to cause that gap.
MarsMe Posted July 15, 2019 Author Posted July 15, 2019 So I did a new clean install again to try without EnBBoost, Crashfixes, Buggfixes and onetweak. So it went, base game, skse, Legendary patch, Sky ui. Fnis, Alternate start, HDT 14.28 and Racemenu. Then XPMSE, Bodyslide and last Fair skin complexion 10.1 Compressed. Built UUNPB HDT with morphs on and the problem is still there. I made sure not to touch any sliders in racemenu morphs first. Ā Then I tried to disable AA and change around graphic settings a bit, but there was no noticable difference. I tried disabling RaceMenuPlugin and RaceMenuMorphsUUNP but that only made the color missmatch.
RW311 Posted July 15, 2019 Posted July 15, 2019 Build with another preset check again, or probably even before thatĀ install the prebuilt mesh files that came with bodyslide and check if those have this gap. If gap persists something with the skeleton file you installed, if it is gone then something is going on with the preset or bodyslide if it always has gap with any preset you build but not with the prebuilt mesh.
MarsMe Posted July 15, 2019 Author Posted July 15, 2019 Okay so another clean install and I installed the texture on the pre built morphs from bodyslide and that had the same problem. Then I build 7B bombshell, UNPB and UNP and they all had the gap. So it's the skeleton then? I'm using XPMSE ver 4.51 from the nexus and install using NMM 0.70.8. I tried switching around the load order a bit on racemenu, but it didn't seem to do anything. RW311 Posted July 15, 2019 Posted July 15, 2019 If all mesh are looking like this then only thing I can think of is skeleton or something with your graphics settings. Which skeleton rig did you choose on install?Ā Ā I think it shouldĀ be xpmse3 hdt as recommended or xpmse3 if you don't use hdt but I don't have that latest version in front of me so maybe they use differentĀ name. Ā Ā
MarsMe Posted July 15, 2019 Author Posted July 15, 2019 So I tried a new again without the skeleton and hdt and the problem is still there. So just Racemenu, Bodyslide and Fair skin complexion. So a graphics problem then? No idea how to fix that. Should i look at setting for the graphics card or just skyrim ini files. Im thinking it has to do with shadows cause the gap/flickering is only visible when there is a light source nearby.
MarsMe Posted July 16, 2019 Author Posted July 16, 2019 Should have tested with the simplest thing first and saved myself some time ? It appears even with default skyrim textures so the body mesh or texture seems to only affect how noticable it is. With the default textures it's very hard to see. It also appears while wearing clothing that shows the neck area. It only happens outside, I tried a lot of different lightning inside and nothing. When outside during the day the sky "stabs" through the neck right where the seam is, it's more noticable when i bend the neck or crouch.
RW311 Posted July 16, 2019 Posted July 16, 2019 You can delete the INI files and relaunch game from steamĀ and they will be recreated, so if you suspect shadow settings or whatever that should at least restore them to default level.
xxnierxxautomata2b Posted May 26, 2021 Posted May 26, 2021 I am having that same sparkling neck effect that you stated. It is there no matter what body meshes or textures I use. I it shows with and without armor depending on how much light is around the neck. Have you found a fix for it by chance?
