How to address clipping or meshes that don't stick to body of character

With this forum's help, I have really gotten the hang of modding this game.. But am still a novice in Blender. I was able to create this mesh using assets from other mods using Blender. In Blender, the polygon looks like its very close to the imported body object. But in game, the mesh comes off of the body depending on the animation being played. Is there a way to "stick" a mesh to the body so that it doesn't clip or expand off of the body in this unrealistic way?
