Im in the process if reinstalling Skyrim at the moment to Vanilla, I have restored by backup ESPS etc from Vanilla through to Hearthfire which "I hope" are untanted since I backed them up about 2 weeks ago before this problem.

Does anyone have an idea why I am "hopefully was" having this problem? Any theorys?

Anyway, once Skyrim reinstalls I'll post up my INI's, Boss etc.. but hopefully wont need to as I am sure this Vanilla reset will work but.. yeah, I'm NEVER that lucky.

The more mods installed the more memory is need for graphics.

It could be tht you don't have enough memory or your graphicas card simply just can't handle Skyrim.

Try updating your drivers.

Is it the same if you are using Vanilla?

Still installing, almost done.

I previously had used high settings and had no problems.. I just don't know what has happened.

Honestly though my load order was bare minimum and it had no troubles until now, I think I only had about between 10-20 mods installed, the biggest mods were Skyre, Vilja and Immersive Armors while the rest was simple stuff like Dovahkiin relaxes etc, all loaded via Wryebash etc.

Its really strange.. as its just the vanilla textures also, if I were to load CBBE textures on they would work fine and be high res, but Vanillas just stayed on low.

EDIT: Reinstalled and the launcher wont even let me choose anti-aliasing! I have the beth high res pack installed and its doing nothing at all!

Honestly, I don't know WHAT is going on anymore :'(

Maybe I should factory reset my machine.. i'm getting really desperate.

when you do a re-install are you deleting everything 1st ? Like delete the game folder itself, the documents folder and the one in the hidden appdata folder ? I had similar problems with settings not being fresh after a re-install until I started wiping those folders out each time before a fresh install. Oh and an easy way to kill and re-install is once you have a good working install again just do a steam backup of that install and keep it saved, then when you need to redo it for whatever reason you are not downloading it all over again the install should take about 3 to 4 minutes from the steam backup ;)I know some people have had trouble with backups in the past but I have redone my Skyrim this way about 40 times now and have not had a single error in the backup restore process :)

Yeah.....but half the time it never works correctly. Some people have had to install the 4GB patch it order for them to get things working.

If you are using the official HD texture pack DLC it can overwrite mod textures for some reason.

Google search "fix for beth hd texture pack" and you should find a solution.
