Vortex has slapped a gag order on Bodyslide!

On my machine, at least. Hopefully this has come up before and someone can just call me a lazy idiot and tell me where the post is that addresses this.

 

I'm using Vortex, and I'm doing a clean, fresh, and hopefully functional installation of SSE NOT on the C drive; the gamer, the mods, and Vortex are all on the same drive. Bodyslide was among the first dozen or so mods I installed (after only basic things like SkyUI, the Unofficial Patch, PapyrusUtil, RaceMenu, that kind of thing). I installed the UNP body and a skin, linked to BodySlide 64 in the Dashboard, started it up, and while the Bodyslide program started normally, I found that it showed nothing -- no body meshes at all, the dropdown menus for Outfit/Body and Preset were just blank. So I installed a few more mods that use Racemenu (clothing and armor, like Book of UUNP) and still nothing shows up.

 

Thoughts? Ideas? Non-rude suggestions? Obscene doodles? Haiku?

From what I remember when I installed Bodyslide using unp body there is an extra step. Something about getting the LE version, and moving the unp files into your installation. Don't know if you have already done this so I'll just mention it. I think ther is a guide on the Bodyslide SSE page.

On a hunch I uninstalled UNP and installed CBBE, and now it works fine. Yeesh. Guess I'm going CBBE armor and clothes shopping now.

I had this issue with Vortex and CBBE, but in my case it was because these new mod managers don't install mods to the skyrim folder anymore they have their own, so to clear it up i just had to do a manual install to the skyrim directory.
